Marimekko is a Finnish textiles and clothing company that was established in 1951. Marimekko has three factories of it’s own in Finland: a textile printing factory in Helsinki, a clothing factory in Kiree and a bag factory in Sulkava. Marimekko is something that I dearly remember from my childhood, I’ve never forgotten, and I am so happy to offer at Nonchalant Mom. I just happened to find a small store in New York when on one of my pregnant strolls. I was amazed to see that little had changed; it was still the same vibrant, and bright colors that I remembered. The bags are so tough and well made that they will be your favorites for a long time. I have also included two coffee table books, it’s fun to see the history of Marimekko, with all the wonderful prints and colors!
