laura b kramer :: blown glass - encapsulated curosities

Regular price $28.00 Sale

Laura Kramer is a talented RISD grad who still lives and works in Rhode Island. She is mostly a fine art/gallery glass blower but we talked her into making these lovely pieces for the shop (helps that I'm a local :) her background in design, sculpture, anthropology and archaeology infuses each object. Her pieces are influenced by an eclectic combination of historical glass and its makers, the cabinet of curiosities, and the natural world. These small glass tubes encapsulate nature in a wonderful way, the shells and dried flowers are perfect for this format. Totally encapsulated in glass these can be used for ornaments, hanging in a window and look equally nice on a table (nice conversation piece). All hand blown so each size is slightly different but approx. 8" x 2" (the shells are some full shells but mostly shell pieces).
